What is Kanopy?

Jackson Memorial Library has partnered with Kanopy, a video streaming service that provides instant access to thousands of critically acclaimed movies, documentaries and kid favorites, including studios like A24, The Criterion Collection, PBS and more to bring your library access to thoughtful entertainment.

How can I watch Kanopy?

You can stream Kanopy on any of your favorite devices! Kanopy is accessible via mobile and tablet apps for iPhone and Android. You can also access Kanopy on your Desktop, and SmartTV apps like Roku, Apple TV, and Fire Stick.

How to create an account

• To get started, visit www.kanopy.com, click “Get Started,” then under “Do you have a public library card” select “Find my library.” Type in “Jackson Memorial Library”into the search bar (or search by city or zip code). When it comes up, select “Jackson Memorial Library.”

• Enter your library card credentials (your library card number is both your login and password). You’ll be asked to create an account using your an email address and password of your choice.

• Begin streaming!

I can’t log in. What’s going on?

• Your library card may have expired (they expire annually or bi-annually, depending on your location). Or there may be an issue with how your login and password were entered into the system on our end.

Can I watch unlimited content?

• Usage is not unlimited. You are provided with six credits to use each month.
